Coleus is an easy-to-grow annual foliage plant that adapts well to hanging baskets and container gardens where its sprawling stems can drape over the edge of the planter. You also can plant it in landscape beds where it will intertwine with flowering annuals and perennials to brighten shady nooks.

Planting Information

Care

They need to be kept moist, especially newly planted coleus. Once they have been established into their growing area, watering can be less frequent. Although it’s not required, the plants can also be given a boost of half-strength liquid fertilizer during their active growth in spring and summer.
